John McCarthy Elected National Committeeman on the Republican National Committee by The Republican Party of Kentucky

Frankfort, Ky (August 21, 2023) – McCarthy Strategic Solutions, LLC is excited to announce that founder and partner John McCarthy has been elected by the Republican Party of Kentucky as the next National Committeeman for Kentucky on the Republican National Committee.

The Republican Party of Kentucky (RPK) elected McCarthy during its quarterly executive committee meeting held on Saturday, August 19, 2023. Mike Duncan served as the previous National Committeeman for 31 years and endorsed John to succeed him.

“I am honored to have the confidence of Kentucky Republicans to represent them on the national level,” McCarthy said. “Mike Duncan has been a true mentor and friend to me for years. I will do my best to carry on his legacy of service to the Republican Party, not only here in Kentucky, but nationally.”

As the new National Committeeman, McCarthy will play a crucial role in representing Kentucky’s interests within the Republican National Committee (RNC) and ensuring that the state’s perspectives are heard and valued in national discussions and decisions.

“I want to congratulate my good friend John McCarthy on becoming the new National Committeeman for the Republican Party of Kentucky,” RPK Chairman Mac Brown said. “John’s wealth of experience and deep connections within our party and the state make him an invaluable asset. I know he will carry on the legacy by Mike Duncan, who has held this role since 1992.”

McCarthy was elected Chairman in 2004 and appointed to the Budget Committee. He continues to serve on the State Central Committee and Executive Committee. Prior to this, McCarthy served as Special Assistant to Governor Ernie Fletcher in 2003, built a successful government affairs practice for a law firm, and held senior-level government affairs positions at Humana and Columbia HCA.

McCarthy has been a trusted advisor and fundraiser for key Republican leaders, including U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, U.S. Senator Rand Paul, and members of the congressional delegation, as well as the state house and state senate. His extensive network spans Washington, Frankfort, and county courthouses throughout the state.

McCarthy is a graduate of Centre College and resides in Louisville with his wife Cindy and their three daughters, Austin, Eloise, and Charlotte. He generously volunteers his time to several charitable organizations by serving on the board of Operation Open Arms, OneWest and West End School.
