McCarthy Strategic Solutions Announces Addition of Shellee Hayden

Hayden brings a decade of administrative and policy expertise in the executive and legislative branches

FRANKFORT, Ky. (January 2, 2024) – Today, McCarthy Strategic Solutions, LLC, announced the hiring of Shellee Hayden as Administrative Assistant, effective January 1, 2024.

Hayden brings to McCarthy Strategic Solutions a decade of administrative and policy expertise alongside extensive knowledge in the legislative process.

In 2020, Hayden worked on the Senate floor at the Legislative Research Commission as a nonpartisan Legislative Assistant. After transferring to the House Minority Leadership office, she worked closely in the legislative process and reviewed policies in the Economic Development and Workforce Investment Committee and the Tourism and Outdoor Recreation Committee. She additionally helped with social media content by designing infographics for the Democratic House Caucus.

Hayden earned her Paralegal Certification in 2020 through the Center for Legal Studies under Texas Christian University sponsorship, which steered her to the Legislative Research Commission and political advocacy. Prior, she led youth programs with the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Franklin County Public School Systems and was a permitting consultant and manager in private transportation services. In 2022, Hayden was elected president of the Franklin County Young Democrats where she currently coordinates events, oversees fundraising and recruitment, designs and manages the website and social media, and holds a seat on the local executive committee.

“I’ve spent the last few rewarding years working with incredible staff and legislators at the Legislative Research Commission and in House Minority Leadership,” said Hayden. “I will miss my colleagues dearly but will be close by as I join McCarthy Strategic Solutions.
