Megan Arnold

Assistant Principal

Megan Arnold joined McCarthy Strategic Solutions in June 2024, bringing half a decade of state and congressional public policy experience and community relations to the firm.

Megan began her political career as a legislative session staff for the House Majority Leadership Office during the 2020 Regular Session. She later returned in 2021 where she worked as a communications specialist and subsequently as a policy analyst within the Office of the Speaker in the Kentucky House of Representatives. Throughout her time in the Speaker’s Office, Megan played an essential role in conducting research, and writing and interpreting policy with a focus on healthcare, child welfare, and public assistance.

Megan also served as Regional Political Director for Congressman Andy Barr’s 2020 reelection campaign in which she managed grassroot efforts for seven counties through coordinating community and volunteer engagements with the Congressman and key county contacts. Her extensive knowledge of the legislative process, public policy, and congressional organization efforts is paired with additional expertise in higher education fundraising. For several years, Megan was a supervisor in the University of Kentucky’s Office of Philanthropy, overseeing the work of over 50 students and over 20 funds.

Originally from Lawrenceburg, Megan was named a Trunzo Scholar and graduated with honors from the University of Kentucky, obtaining a degree in political science. She currently resides in Lexington with her husband Wade.
