Megan Arnold

Principal

Megan Sparrow Arnold is a Principal with McCarthy Strategic Solutions. Megan brings legislative, political, and government relations experience to the MSS team, with a particular focus on health care, Medicaid, family and children’s services, substance use prevention and treatment, and transportation. She works with clients to develop and execute legislative and regulatory strategies, build relationships with policymakers and state agencies, and navigate complex policy issues.

Since joining MSS in 2024, Megan has successfully advocated for clients on a range of legislative, budget, and regulatory priorities across health care, election integrity, unemployment insurance, and transportation safety reform. She works closely with policymakers and state agencies to advance client priorities and navigate complex policy issues. Her work is grounded in policy expertise and a practical understanding of Kentucky politics and the legislative process.

Prior to joining MSS, Megan worked in the Kentucky House of Representatives in the House Majority Leadership Office, where she served as a policy analyst and communications specialist. Her work in the Speaker’s Office focused on health care, child welfare, and public assistance policy, where she conducted legislative research, developed and interpreted policy, and supported communications and legislative strategy.

Megan previously served as Regional Political Director for U.S. Rep. Andy Barr’s 2020 reelection campaign, where she managed grassroots operations. While attending the University of Kentucky, Megan gained early leadership experience in the Office of Philanthropy, where she supervised fundraising operations, more than 50 students, and 20 funds.

A Lawrenceburg native, Megan graduated with honors from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and was named a Trunzo Scholar. She lives in Lexington with her husband, Wade, and their Boykin Spaniel, Willie.
